Appearance

The leopard lizard is small with a very long tail, it has a base colour of yellow/gold/brown on which are set darker spots (hence the name leopard lizard) and bars. The tail is ringed with light and dark bars.

 

Locality

Western/Southwestern USA.

 

Adult size

Upto 15inches, as much as 2rds of this is tail though.

 

Approx lifespan

8-10years.

 

REcomended vivarium size

3x1.5x1.5ft vivarium for one specimen.

 

Basic set up type

Arid desert with rocks for basking and hiding.

 

Diet

A diet of gut-loaded insects dusted with the appropriate calcium/vitamin power is best for the Leopard lizard.
