Appearance

The mali spiny-tailed agama is a medium sized stout set lizard with a short bulky tail. The males of this species are a uniform black colour with a beautifully marked back of yellow with irregular dots and patches. Click here.

Northern Mali and Western Algeria.

 

Adult size

11-14inches.

 

Approx lifespan

Upto and possibly beyond 12years.

 

REcomended vivarium size

This is an active species and requires atleast a 3x2x2ft vivarium for a single adult.

Diet

The Mali spiny-tailed Agama is a vegetarian species and should be fed greens and seeds.
