The natal green snake is a small slender snake which has fairly strongly keeled scales. It is bright green although the young sometimes display black bands on the neck.
South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe.
2-3ft.
Not known, but thought to be approx 6-12years.
A 24in high vivarium should be used for this climbing species.
Offer sturdy branches and dense foliage (plant life, real or fake) for hiding.
It the wild the Natal Green snake would eat lizards and amphibians, in captivity specimens should be weaned onto rodents of the appropriate size.
