Red tailed boas are very similar to the common boa constrictor, the tail however is a more pronounced red colour.
Central and Northern South America to the east of the Andes Mountain range.
6-12ft, with 8-10 being average.
20 years or more in captivity.
5x2x3ft should be considered the minimum for adults.
Dry rainforest type with a large water source for soaking, these boas are known for their good climbing ability therefore carefully secured climbing perches should be provided.
Rodents and rabbits when older for the Red-tailed Boa.
